ContentConfession: Wildlife isn't my cup of coffee. Does this mean I have a problem? Maybe you're like me saying, naah you're fine or Me too. Well, Hold up. I think we have a problem. We take things for granted. Am I unaware of what I have in my backyard? We went to the mara with American friends and trust me, we'd stop for 20 mins or so just for them to see Zebras, which left me asking myself, Do we take lots of stuff for granted? Or maybe it's because the third time I went to the Mara I didn't have the right gear. All I had was a borrowed camera with broken 18-135mm kit lens which got me really crappy Images. Or maybe because I was hoping we'd see all the Big Five and get some really kickass action. Look at me trying to force nature to bend like stacked pieces of dominoes. Forget about trying to discover other lifeforms on other planets, we need to find a fix on how I handle my disappointments. It started with my hard drive dying on me. At this point nothing is on my mind but flipping tables. Blaa Blaa Blaa Fast forward to the part where I had to work with what's there. Feelings aside, I should quit with the blame game.. Who knows when I'll be back here again. What if we live the same way travel? Head out for each journey like it's the first time? Guess it all boils down to perspective. Seeing the small things as big things and the big things as small things.
Safi Kabisa. The solo lion shot with the landscape in the foreground and background is too heavy. Composition on steroids!
Thank you brutha. Really appreciate it.
It might not be your cup of coffee, but the stories told in these images is amazing. Great work
